Kuching - IOT Management Sdn Bhd (IOTM), a subsidiary of Senari Synergy Group, successfully conducted a controlled Tier 3 Major Drill today at Loading Port 2, located at the Senari Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Jetty in Senari Synergy Industrial Complex, Bako.
The drill was held to assess the level of preparedness and coordination between IOTM, Senari Synergy Port Sdn Bhd, and government agencies in responding to overwater emergencies.
The exercise involved a series of high-stake scenarios to test the emergency response capabilities of IOTM’s Emergency Response Team. The simulation was carried out in three scenarios. It began with a vessel collision, followed by a man overboard incident, and concluded with a marine oil spill. Each scenario was carefully developed to mirror real-life situations and ensure that the teams were evaluated under realistic operational pressures.

The exercise began promptly at 9:00 AM and was completed by 10:30 AM without any incidents or injuries. Observers from various government agencies and authorities were also present to provide oversight and evaluation. Among them were representatives from the Department of Environment, Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Chief Government Security Officer, Natural Resources and Environment Board, Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and others..
The successful execution of the drill reflects IOTM’s ongoing commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. This commitment is further reinforced by the company’s achievement of three internationally recognized ISO certifications. IOTM is certified under ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety. These certifications demonstrate IOTM’s dedication to maintaining high standards across all areas of operation.
