With the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a few more days and followed by Gawai Dayak, Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd had reached out to the children under its Permata Synergy program. Goodies and basic necessities were extended to them to bring cheers to the little faces. With the new norm of the festive occasion this year, face masks and hand sanitizers were added as part of the basic necessities.
‘PERMATA SYNERGY’ is the flagship program under its Corporate Social Responsibilities with the aim to relieve the financial burden particularly in education for the under privilege children between the age of six (6) and twelve (12) years old. The program was launched on 29th July 2016 and officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hj. Bujang Mohd Noor, Chairman of Senari Synergy Sdn Bhd.
Since 2016, there were twelve (12) children who were enrolled into this program. The program is eligible to orphanage children with family household income below the minimum wage or the prevailing Poverty Line Index. Under the program, among others, these children were given monthly contribution of RM150.00, yearly supply of school uniforms and stationeries before the schools reopen, provided with groceries during festive, sending these children to weekly Al-Quran classes and contribution in Tabung Haji (for the Muslims). The contribution extended under this program is aim at relieving the financial burden of these children and their families. With the recent pandemic Covid-19, Senari Synergy had also extended extra contributions to the family to assist with the daily necessities.
Haji Jefri Ahmad Tambi, Group Managing Director said that “with the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, we are going to celebrate Hari Raya Aildilfitri and Gawai Dayak in the ‘new norm’. There will be no “berjarah raya” and “ngabang”. Even though we are going to have a quiet festive season this year, let’s not take that as a reason for us to not share our blessings with the less fortunate ones”, he added.
“Senari Synergy Group of Companies staff had also taken this opportunity to contribute personally to the Permata Synergy children. We hope that this small initiative we took will help to instil and inculcate the cohesiveness of family relationship within the organisation and the community”, he further added.
